Sharps Policy & Procedures
Our position on needles and sharp instruments.
Position
Academy courses do not use needles, lancets or any skin-piercing instruments, and learners must not use them in Academy practice.
If a sharp is found
Do not handle it by hand. Inform venue staff, who will dispose of it in an approved sharps container. Any needlestick injury: encourage bleeding, wash with soap and water and seek medical advice immediately.
Review
