Health & Safety Policy

Last updated: 9/22/2026

Dr. S. Pujah Academy takes reasonable care for the health, safety and wellbeing of every student, trainer, visitor and client, across pre-recorded, live online and in-person training.

Scope of our teaching

We teach traditional Vedic wellness practices — chakra work, Vastu, Ayurvedic principles, the five elements, aromatherapy and numerology. This is complementary education. It is not medical training, does not diagnose or treat disease, and is never a substitute for qualified medical care. Students are taught to refer clients to a medical professional whenever symptoms may be clinical.

In-person venues (Dubai cohorts)

  • Training is delivered in licensed premises that meet local fire, civil defence and accessibility requirements.
  • Fire exits, assembly points and first-aid provision are shown at the start of each cohort.
  • A trained first-aider and a stocked first-aid kit are available during contact hours.
  • Accidents, incidents and near-misses are recorded in an incident log and reviewed.
  • Rooms are ventilated, clean, and set up so practical work can be done safely with adequate space.

Practical work and personal contact

  • Hands-on practice is always consent-based. Any student may decline to give or receive practice at any time, without penalty.
  • Trainers ask for verbal consent before any physical contact and explain what will happen and why.
  • Students disclose relevant health conditions, pregnancy, injuries or allergies in confidence before practical sessions so adjustments can be made.

Aromatherapy and essential oils

  • Oils are used in ventilated spaces, correctly diluted, and never applied undiluted to skin.
  • Patch testing is taught and practised. Known contraindications — pregnancy, epilepsy, asthma, high blood pressure, infants, photosensitivity — are covered before any practical use.
  • Safety data and storage requirements are provided for every oil used in training.

Online and pre-recorded study

  • Students practise in a safe, uncluttered space and stop immediately if they feel unwell, dizzy or distressed.
  • Live online sessions include breaks and screen-safety guidance.

Emotional safety and safeguarding

Energy and breath-based work can surface strong emotions. Trainers hold space without pressure, offer opt-outs, and signpost professional support where needed. We do not knowingly enrol anyone under 18 without written parental consent and supervision. Any safeguarding concern is escalated immediately to the Academy Director and, where required, to local authorities.

Insurance and responsibility

Graduates practising professionally must hold their own professional indemnity and public liability insurance in their own country. Certification by the Academy does not insure you.

Reporting a concern

Report any health or safety concern, incident or hazard to spujahgrow@gmail.com. Concerns are acknowledged within 3 working days. This policy is reviewed annually.
