Bloodborne & Body Fluid Safety Policy

Principles

Our practices are non-invasive. Where contact with body fluids could occur (for example a nosebleed or minor cut), standard infection-control precautions apply.

Precautions

• Hand washing before and after client contact.
• Disposable gloves for any contact with body fluids.
• Cuts covered with waterproof dressings.
• Contaminated items sealed and disposed of safely; surfaces disinfected.

Review
